M.Tech Programmes by the National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training and Research, Kolkata
Establishment of fully autonomous, centrally funded institutions by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, to provide pre-service and in-service training for teachers and staff in India. They offer degrees and diplomas at various levels of training in their M.Tech Programmes in Kolkata. They also conduct various activities related to improving the technical education system in the country.
In addition to Manufacturing Technology, Multimedia & Software Systems, and Mechatronics Engineering, the Institute offers four approved Post Graduate Programmes (two years, four semesters). The University of Technology Maulana Abul Kalam Azad (MAKAUT, formally West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT)) awards an M.Tech Teacher’s Training in Kolkata degree.

Multimedia & Software Systems
This Post Graduate Programme was founded in 2005 to support industry requirements with the latest technology. Throughout the course, different aspects of multimedia technologies and software development processes are incorporated to make students capable of achieving new levels of excellence.
Course Duration of Multimedia & Software Systems programme
Full-time M.Tech courses run for two years and four semesters. Students will take theory and practical classes in the first two semesters. They can submit dissertation work in the last two semesters. The syllabus covers Software systems, database management systems, knowledge management systems, and object-oriented technologies.
Candidates who have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering, I.T., Electronics, Electrical or a similar field from a recognized university. Candidates with a GATE score of 55% in engineering exams will be given preference in general and SC/ST/OBC categories.
Mechatronics Engineering
Using Mechatronics to design lowers costs, shortens design cycles, and comes up with elegant solutions to design problems that could not be solved by sticking to traditional engineering disciplines.
Engineers specializing in professional Mechatronics developed integrated computer-controlled mechanical and electrical systems. There are often used in processing, mining, manufacturing, and automation industries.
Course Duration of Mechatronics Engineering programme
Full-time M.Tech degree program in Mechatronics Engineering with AICTE approval for a full-time program over two years. Electrical engineering, electronics, telecommunications, mechanical engineering, instrumentation, or a related field with a B.S. or B. Tech from a recognized university.
Manufacturing Technology
The Ministry of Human Resource Development, the Government, recognizes the proposed course. Department of Higher Education, Government of India. M.A.K. Azad University of Technology received approval from the AICTE to start its first academic year in 2002-2003. BHEL, TELCO, Bharat Electronics, and researchers from I.I.T. Kharagpur and I.I.T. Bangalore are alumni.
Course Duration of Manufacturing Technology programme
An M.Tech degree requires two years of full-time study, divided into four semesters. Students will take theory and practical classes during the first two semesters and dissertation work during the last two semesters. Engineering graduates holding an AIME, B. Tech, or B.E specializing in the fields of automobile, mechanical or industrial engineering.
Structural Engineering
Infrastructure development activities in the country have increased the need for structural engineers. In order to keep up with the rapid advancements in the field of structural engineering, this course will be very beneficial to recent graduates and practicing engineers.
Course Duration of Structural Engineering programme
A full-time M. Tech in Structural Engineering course is offered over two years and four semesters. MAKAUT, formerly West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT), awards the degree upon completion of the course, which the AICTE approves. Engineers with a BE/B.Tech in civil engineering from a recognized university or institution are encouraged to apply.
