Special Lecture on Introduction to Journalism
24th November 2022, Kolkata: The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of Vijaygarh Jyotish Ray College organized a special lecture on Introduction to Journalism on 16th November. The speaker was Anindya Sinha Chowdhury.
The seminar covered the syllabus of the paper: JORA-CC-1-1, semester: 1, unit: 3 under the guidance of Calcutta University. Anindya Sinha Chowdhury started his lecture with an induction to reporting. He told us how a report is written in an Inverted Pyramid style and what are the points to be mentioned. He simplified the idea of report writing. He also shared that years of practice can make anyone a good writer. After discussing the points of the report writing he also gave the students a sample report to write. The time allotted was 20 minutes to write a 150 words report. Every student tried their best to incorporate everything that they learnt so far in the lecture. Anindya Sinha Chowdhury then individually every write up and corrected the problems that the students made. He then discussed report writing on Natural calamities like earthquakes, heavy rain and so on. He made sure that every student was involved in the seminar and understood it.
The program ended after 2 hours. Everyone enjoyed in the seminar and surely received a lot of information about the world of Journalism. The department will surely host such programs in the coming days and the students and waiting for them.

২৪ শে নভেম্বর, কলকাতা ; আজ বৃহস্পতিবার বিজয়গড় জ্যোতিষ রায় কলেজে সাংবাদিকতা বিভাগের প্রধান অধ্যক্ষ ডক্টর অর্ণ ব ব্যানার্জি মহাশয়ের উদ্যোগে এবছর ভর্তি হওয়ার নবীন শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য সংবাদ পরিচিতি নিয়ে একটি ক্লাস হয়। এখানে বক্তব্য রাখেন অতিথি অধ্যাপক শ্রী অনিন্দ্য সিনহা চৌধুরী মহাশয়। এই বক্তব্যে তিনি কিভাবে সংবাদ লিখতে হয় এবং সংবাদ লেখার ক্ষেত্রে কেমন ভাষা ব্যবহার করা উচিত সে বিষয়ে ছাত্রছাত্রীদের জানান। তিনি বলেন সংবাদ লেখার ক্ষেত্রে সরল ভাষার প্রয়োগ করতে হয় যাতে পাঠকেরা সহজেই তা পড়তে পারেন। উল্টো পিরামিড নীতি কি এবং কিভাবে ,কোথায় এটি ব্যবহার করতে হয়, সংবাদ শীর্ষ কেমন ভাবে লিখতে হয় তিনি ছাত্রছাত্রীদের এই সকল প্রাথমিক ধারণা দেন। উনার বলার সকল কথা ও ধারণা গুলি এ বছরের নবীন শিক্ষার্থীদের সংবাদ লেখার ক্ষেত্রে অবশ্যই সহায়তা করবে।
